Stamp card, punch card or points card: which suits your shop?
The right card depends on what your customers buy and how often they come. Here are the four kinds, what they suit, and what they cost with us.

The short answer
- A stamp card if customers buy the same thing often: coffee, morning bread, an ice cream.
- A punch card if customers come back for the same service and are happy to pay up front: haircuts, yoga classes, lunches.
- A points card if the basket differs from visit to visit: a butcher, a florist, a bookshop.
- A one-time card if you want to give new customers a reason to come the first time: a welcome coffee or a taster.
Stamp card
The customer gets a stamp per visit, and when the card is full they get the reward. You choose between 2 and 20 stamps and what the reward is. It is the card most people know from paper, and it is easy to explain at the counter.
It works best when one purchase is like the last: the coffee at the café, the morning bread at the bakery, the pizza on a Friday night. How a digital stamp card works.
Punch card
The customer pays up front for a number of visits, say ten lunches, and you punch one off each time they use it. The money goes through your own till as always. Then you make a six-digit code in Klipz, which the customer types on their phone to activate the card; the code works for 15 minutes.
A punch card suits places customers return to anyway: a hairdresser, yoga, massage, a lunch bar. You get the whole price on the day you sell it. Sell a punch card of 10 lunches for 900 kr and we take 2 %, that is 18 kr, when the customer activates it. The numbers are an example. How a digital punch card works.
Points card
The customer gets one point per whole krone, which you type in from the receipt, and you set one to six rewards, each at its own number of points. Each reward can be claimed once per round, in any order. Above an amount you set yourself, Klipz asks for an extra confirmation, so a typo cannot hand out thousands of points.
A points card suits shops where some customers spend a little and others a lot: a butcher, a florist, a bookshop. A stamp per visit would treat the big order and the small one alike. How a digital points card works.
One-time card
A one-time card is one free perk that the customer claims once and shows at the counter. It costs nothing with us, to make or to give out, and the customer is in your club and on your customer list from the first visit. How a digital one-time card works.
| Card | The customer gets | You pay Klipz | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stamp card | A stamp per visit and a reward when the card is full | 5 kr per filled card | Café, bakery, takeaway |
| Punch card | A number of visits, paid up front | 2 % of the price | Hairdresser, yoga, lunch bar |
| Points card | One point per krone and rewards at levels | 5 kr per redeemed reward | Butcher, florist, books |
| One-time card | One free perk | 0 kr | New customers and openings |
Can I have several at once?
Yes. All four kinds are included from day one, and you can run as many as you like side by side. A café can have a stamp card on coffee and a punch card of ten cups for those who would rather pay up front. A card's reward and number of stamps cannot change once it is running, so your customers' terms stay fixed; if you want something else, you make a new one.
